Joseph’s Bakery is seeking a design-forward, detail-oriented Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist with 3–5 years of experience in graphic design, packaging design, brand design, marketing, e-commerce, or agency environments. This role is ideal for a versatile creative who can translate brand strategy into polished, practical, on-brand materials across print, packaging, digital, e-commerce, social media, sales, and retail applications.
Key areas of focus include graphic design, packaging design, presentation design, brand design, sales collateral, trade show graphics, social media content, e-commerce assets, website graphics, and email marketing creative. The strongest candidate will have a clean design aesthetic, strong layout and typography skills, experience supporting consumer packaged goods or food brands, and the ability to manage multiple creative requests in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone who is collaborative, positive, organized, flexible, and motivated to produce excellent work. This person should be comfortable taking direction, contributing thoughtful ideas, working across departments, managing shifting priorities, and following projects through with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Brand Creative
· Serve as a key internal design resource for brand needs across print, digital, packaging, e-commerce, sales, and trade channels.
· Design polished, on-brand creative assets for social media, websites, email newsletters, e-commerce, retailer requests, sales materials, trade shows, product launches, and customer-facing programs.
· Develop visual concepts and layouts for brand campaigns, product promotions, seasonal initiatives, retail programs, and internal company projects.
· Maintain consistency across brand voice, visual identity, logos, colors, typography, product imagery, claims, templates, and creative standards.
Sales Collateral, Presentation Design & Trade Support
· Design and maintain sales collateral including sell sheets, retailer-specific materials, in-store signage, merchandising materials, and customer presentations.
· Create polished PowerPoint presentations for Sales, leadership, customer meetings, broker presentations, trade shows, and new product opportunities.
· Translate product information, claims, and selling points into clear and visually compelling sales materials.
· Support tradeshow and event needs including booth graphics, signage, sample support materials, display graphics, promotional handouts, and presentation decks.
· Assist with merchandising display graphics, corrugate display concepts, shelf signage, and retail activation.
· Respond to customer, broker, sales, and partner requests for logos, product images, item information, presentations, and approved marketing assets.
Digital, E-Commerce & Website Creative
· Create and maintain digital assets for Amazon, Shopify, WordPress, brand websites, retailer websites, customer portals, and digital product pages.
· Support e-commerce content needs including Amazon image stacks, A+ Content, product images, comparison graphics, banners, promotional graphics, and marketplace visuals.
· Update website product pages, recipe pages, blog posts, banners, and promotional content.
· Ensure product images, item details, and visual assets are accurate and consistent across digital platforms.
· Design graphics for email marketing campaigns, newsletters, product features, recipe content and more.
Packaging Design & Product Support
· Support packaging updates, packaging refreshes, product line extensions, and new product design needs.
· Work with internal teams and outside vendors to develop, revise, route, and finalize packaging artwork.
· Coordinate internally and with printers to ensure packaging accuracy and brand consistency.
· Maintain organized packaging files, version histories, product images, and approved brand assets.
Asset Management, Project Coordination & Vendor Support
· Maintain organized brand asset libraries including logos, packaging files, product photography, lifestyle images, sell sheets, presentations, templates, and approved marketing materials.
· Manage design requests with attention to priority, accuracy, timing, and business impact.
· Coordinate with printers, display companies, photographers, agencies, freelancers, and other vendors.
· Prepare files for print and digital production, ensuring correct specs, file quality, and production readiness.
· Participate in marketing meetings, contribute creative recommendations, monitor food and design trends, and support broader marketing initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in CPG, food, beverage, retail, e-commerce, agency, or consumer brand environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, brand design, layout, packaging, digital creative, sales collateral, and/or presentation design.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Strong PowerPoint design skills, with the ability to create polished, professional, sales-ready presentations.
- Experience creating assets for print, digital, social media, e-commerce, email, and web.
- Design fundamentals including typography, hierarchy, composition, color, photography use, and clean layout.
- Experience with packaging artwork, production files, dielines, print specs, and vendor coordination.
- Working knowledge of Amazon creative requirements, e-commerce product imagery, Shopify, and WordPress.
- Experience with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar email marketing platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with packaging, product claims, item information, and brand consistency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, priorities, and revisions at once.
- Interest in and working knowledge of the food industry preferred.
- Experience with photography, photo editing, video editing, motion graphics, or simple animation is a plus.
