Supply Chain Operations Representative
Location: Greater Phoenix Area (on-site manufacturing environment)
Overview:
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Representative to support purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain process initiatives. This role will be heavily involved in coordinating procurement activities, supporting new product introductions, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with cross-functional supply chain projects.
This is a highly collaborative position requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
- Assist in processing purchase orders for materials and components supporting production and inventory
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and cost-effective sourcing
- Support the development and ongoing management of supplier relationships
- Participate in evaluating new suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost alignment
New Product / Part Introduction
- Coordinate the onboarding of new parts in partnership with engineering and production teams
- Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of new items within the ERP system, including specifications and data integrity
Inventory Management & Cycle Counting
- Support cycle counting processes to maintain high inventory accuracy
- Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies, shortages, or excess stock
- Help implement corrective actions to improve inventory performance
Project Coordination
- Assist with supply chain initiatives such as sourcing projects, process improvements, and inventory programs
- Support execution of project plans, track progress, and help ensure timelines are met
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve supply chain efficiency and workflows
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Identify process improvement opportunities within purchasing and inventory workflows
- Help maintain accurate documentation for supply chain procedures and policies
- Support adherence to internal policies and industry best practices
Engineering Support
- Assist with procurement and coordination of parts for engineering-related projects
- Provide supply chain support for product development and technical initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations, purchasing, or inventory management
- Working knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and basic project management concepts
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
