About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable NPI (New Product Introduction) Document Specialist I to support a fast-paced production and engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, technology, collaboration, and process improvement while gaining exposure to a highly technical manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll help maintain and organize the critical documentation that supports the manufacturing of wire harnesses, enclosure assemblies, and custom box build products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production documents are accurate, accessible, and up to date.
This position offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, engineering documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives, along with strong opportunities for career growth and advancement.
What You’ll Do
- Create and update production documentation including visual aids, work instructions, checklists, and support forms
- Upload, organize, and maintain files in SharePoint and company systems
- Track project updates, part numbers, and documentation status using Excel
- Prepare and distribute production document packets to internal teams
- Archive outdated or revised documents following established procedures
- Support senior Document Specialists and collaborate across the NPI team
- Assist with troubleshooting, rework coordination, and process improvement initiatives
- Help identify opportunities to improve workflows and documentation efficiency
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Perform additional duties as needed to support operations
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in document control, administrative support, or manufacturing support environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable working with document management systems and digital files
- Basic understanding of technical documents or engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in cable, wire harness, or enclosure manufacturing is a plus
