The Work
The Deputy Program Manager II will assist the Program Manager with managing processes that enable performance under the contract and subordinate task orders. This role serves as the anchor between the Program Manager and the contracting team, ensuring excellence in contract management and operational efficacy.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as back-up focal point to Program Manager for all contractor functions that pertain to performance under the contract
- Deputy Program Manager will act on behalf of the Program Manager during the Program Managers absences.
- Maintain weekly employee roster and status report to track filled CLINS, new hires, vacancies, resignations, terminations, CLIN changes, and other critical data.
- Coordinate direct company billing for unit travel needs across domestic and international, in addition to miscellaneous contract expenses.
- Organize and produce contract deliverable documents for Program Manager review and submission
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee professional development training as required.
- Support Program Manager in new policy development and implementation.
- Coordinate with Cayuse Human Resources with employee concerns and incidents, ensuring company responsiveness to requests for leave, pay issues, and other HR support needs of contract personnel.
- Coordinate with Cayuse Recruiting team to coordinate and/or conduct pre-screen interviews for initial candidate selections.
- Perform contract data analytics to detect trends and assess emergent issues.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with Contractor employees to analyze needs for information and support on an ongoing basis.
- Work with Program Manager on corporate budgeting and contract reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least ten (10) years of professional experience.
- At least two (2) years' experience as a PM or DPM supporting a government contract.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating staffing contract recruiting needs.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government contract requirements.
- Secret Clearance is required.
- Due to the nature of work performed at the clients’ facility, U.S Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

- Must possess problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
- Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
- Must be a Self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team.
