Manager, Contracting Lead, Airport Lounge Network
Within the Premium Products & Experiences (PPX) organization, the Travel team is responsible for setting the enterprise-wide vision for travel experiences for our premium card members. As a member of the Capital One Airport Lounge division, you will be a part of a dynamic team that sets critical travel experiences for our premium card members. The Airport Lounge Business Development team, within this organization, is focused on delivering and maturing the Capital One Lounge network in the U.S., setting a new bar for premium experiences in the market.
As our contract manager, you will support the evolution of our lounge program by running a well-managed contracting process for key initiatives as it relates to strategic partnerships, new spaces, and vendors associated with the delivery of our new site locations. As a successful candidate, you will be an excellent executive communicator, have prior experience running past contracts, and have strong judgement and experience working across teams to drive results.
General Responsibilities:
Support the RFP and Business Development lifecycle to win new airport spaces for our network – with a special focus on owning the development of new contracts
Influencing and negotiating key contract terms with internal leaders and external parties
End-to-end ownership of key strategic partnership evolutions for existing spaces, including contracting and operational adjustments
Identify ways to improve, standardize, and streamline contracting processes – resulting in a well-managed, well-documented, and proactive model
Develop standardized contract playbook and templates in conjunction with FARs to document our preferred positions
Serve as a liaison to key internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments (e.g. FARs and delegates), identifying risks and issues to mitigate/escalate as needed
Demonstrate outstanding communication, judgment, and influence to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
At least 4 years experience with contracting, procurement or legal project management
At least 3 years experience in executive level communications
Preferred Qualifications:
J.D. (Juris Doctor) or other legal experience
5+ years experience with contracting, procurement or legal project management
1+ years experience working in the airport lounge / concessions industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Business DevelopmentMcLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Business Development
New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Business Development
Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Business Development
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate27s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
