Job Description
Pay Range: $125,000 - $160,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The Sr. Finance Manager position will support the clinical solutions team within Quest with focus on some of the rapid growing business including Oncology, Haystack, and Specialty Genetics, while serving as a key business partner to R&D organization and enabling overall clinical franchise growth. This individual will provide strategic support and financial insights to help drive growth.
Role
The individual in this role will need to be agile, adaptable, and flexible given the dynamic nature of the businesses and will assist the business partners with:
- Developing and implementing a multi-year strategy
- Supporting the annual strategic planning process
- Creating financial ROI models supporting prioritized launches /franchise initiatives
- Building enhanced reporting capabilities
- Providing regular updates to Senior Management
Responsibilities
- Serve as Finance business partner to the General Managers and Vice Presidents of the Clinical Solutions team, including Franchises, R&D and Haystack Oncology
- Support leadership in formulating business strategies as part of the Company’s three-year strategic plan and annual business plan process, conducting detailed analysis, and providing financial insights around new opportunities/initiatives
- Evaluate and identify opportunities to improve margin performance, including partnering with regional and esoteric finance teams and R&D scientists to identify and implement cost savings initiatives
- Support the new product development process, identifying, aligning and prioritizing growth opportunities with Franchise, R&D, Commercial and IT/Bioinformatics, understanding timeline and investment need, and building the business and financial case
- Manage capital budgets for the Clinical Solutions organization and lead capital investment analyses & projects for business partners
- Drive AI adoption by leveraging new tools and dashboards to generate insight for the business and simplify/auto franchise reporting
- Assist in annual budgeting process as well as monthly financial Outlook. Gain understanding of variances and articulate drivers to various levels of management
- Collaborate with central accounting and controllership closely to ensure accuracy of financial reporting of franchise investment and Business Development opportunities
- Drive competitive insights for the Clinical Solutions teams to help leadership understand competitive positioning of our assays
- Support Senior Finance Director / VP Finance with various ad-hoc information requests, including Executive Week and Board of Director presentations
- Coach and develop Senior Financial Analysts within the group and provide challenging opportunities to gain additional knowledge of our business
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Approximately 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of operational and financial processes and practical application of financial and strategic analysis
- Demonstrates skill in working with senior management and functional subject matter experts
- Strong Excel skills are desired
- Hands-on manager and robust people management skills
