Position Description
Title: HR Generalist / Recruiter
Location: 100% Remote
Reports To: HR Manager
Benefits: Full benefits
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base salary + 10% target bonus
FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt
Position Summary
The HR Generalist / Recruiter supports the day-to-day execution of human resources functions with a primary focus on full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee support across the organization. This role is especially critical in supporting both organic growth and inorganic growth through acquisitions, ensuring a seamless candidate and employee experience throughout the hiring and onboarding lifecycle. This position partners closely with hiring managers and leadership across the RIA/Broker Dealer platform to attract top talent, maintain HR compliance, support employee relations, and assist with HR operations and special projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for corporate and operational roles across the RIA/BD platform
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, compensation alignment, and hiring strategy
- Draft and post job descriptions across multiple platforms
- Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for qualified candidates
- Manage candidate communications and ensure a high-quality candidate experience
- Coordinate offer letters, pre-employment screenings, and background checks
- Support recruiting efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and advisor team transitions
- Track recruiting metrics and provide reporting to HR leadership
Onboarding & Integration
- Coordinate new hire onboarding for both organic hires and acquired employees
- Facilitate onboarding schedules, orientation, training, and new hire documentation
- Partner cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Payroll, and leadership to ensure smooth transitions
- Support employee integration efforts during M&A activity, including employee communication and documentation
HR Generalist Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, and HR processes
- Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, and follow-up
- Support benefits administration, enrollment, and employee education
- Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS accuracy and compliance
- Assist with performance management processes and annual HR cycles
- Support policy updates, handbook maintenance, and compliance initiatives
- Participate in HR projects related to process improvement, engagement, and retention
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and employment laws across multiple states
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to HR and recruiting
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee matters
- Uses sound judgment, critical thinking, and honest, clear and professional communication in handling all duties and responsibilities
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of HR Generalist and/or Recruiting experience
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting in a professional services, financial services, RIA, or Broker Dealer environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience supporting onboarding and employee transitions
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with HRIS, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of time

- Experience supporting M&A integrations or rapid-growth environments
- Experience working in a multi-state employer environment
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred
