Basic Function:
This position will support the Director of National Capital Markets in Toledo, Ohio. Binswanger’s Toledo Commercial Investment Sales Intern will work closely with our broker team, supporting the sales process with a focus on data management, market research, outreach, and additional projects as assigned. This internship offers exposure to commercial brokerage operations and is ideal for individuals interested in a career in commercial real estate.
PositionResponsibilities:
• Analyst Support - Create lease abstracts, perform basic financial analysis, and track specific comp lists.
• Marketing Support - Create flyers, edit presentations, and implement social media strategies.
• Lead Broker Support - Monitor and assist with tracking the lead broker’s business activities and communications.
• Database Management - Enter, update, organize, and track data on investors, properties, markets, and comps.
• Project Coordination - Coordinate targeted direct marketing campaigns, track responses, and coordinate follow-ups.
• Research - Research targeted investors, properties, markets, and comp data.
Skills/Attributes:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data and CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience or prior internship in commercial real estate preferred
- Ability to identify complex problems and interpret information to develop solutions
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Argus
- Experience using computer applications to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate information
Proactive, self-driven, and resourceful, with the ability to multi-task against deadlines and strong attention to detail.
