Job Description:
The Finance & Accounting Intern supports the Financial Planning & Analysis team by assisting with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting activities. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to how financial data is used to evaluate business performance, support decision-making, and drive operational insight. The intern will partner with FP&A analysts and business stakeholders while developing strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills in a professional corporate finance environment.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management; Perform basic variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and help document key drivers
- Assist with improving financial models, reports, and planning tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support budget and forecast cycles by gathering data, updating templates, and validating assumptions
- Perform basic financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, economics, or a related field
- Completion of introductory courses in finance and accounting preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial models, pivot tables, or dashboards is a plus
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
