GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of IT is responsible for the
overall leadership, planning, and day-to-day management of the Information
Technology Department. This position sets the IT strategy and technology roadmap;
ensures the reliability, security, and performance of business systems and infrastructure;
and partners with internal departments to identify requirements, evaluate options, and
deliver practical solutions aligned with the Corporation’s operational needs, regulatory
obligations, and strategic objectives. The Director of Information Technology oversees
IT budgets and vendor relationships, establishes policies and standards, and ensures
timely support and service delivery for corporate users and critical gaming operations
technology.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and supervise IT department personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, coaching, and ensuring adequate coverage to support business operations; establish clear expectations, measurable goals, and professional development plans.
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate IT initiatives and projects in line with corporate objectives, including defining scope and requirements, preparing business cases, managing timelines and resources, coordinating stakeholders, validating deliverables, and documenting outcomes.
- Ensure the stability and ongoing maintenance of current systems and technology platforms, including servers, networks, workstations, telephony, cloud services,
security tools, and line-of-business applications; establish monitoring, patching,
backup, and disaster recovery processes to support high availability.
- Proactively identify technology risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps; recommend and implement upgrades and continuous improvements; develop and enforce cybersecurity controls (e.g., access management, endpoint protection, logging, incident response); and ensure systems are configured and maintained in accordance with industry best practices, applicable regulations, and compliance frameworks, including PCI DSS controls as applicable. Coordinate internal/external audits and assessments, maintain required evidence and documentation, and track remediation plans to completion.
- Ensure reported technology issues are triaged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner through established support processes; set service expectations, prioritize incidents and requests based on business impact, coordinate escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Partner with other department leaders and end users to understand operational workflows and defined IT needs; translate business requirements into technical solutions; develop standards, procedures, and training to improve adoption; and ensure technology changes are planned, communicated, tested, and implemented with minimal disruption.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers; negotiate contracts and service level expectations; manage renewals and licensing; oversee vendor performance; and ensure third-party solutions integrate securely and reliably with existing systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent technical aptitude with a thorough understanding of modern IT systems and
practical business applications, including networks, servers, endpoints, cloud services,
security controls, backups, identity and access management, and common enterprise
applications. Working knowledge of compliance frameworks and control environments,
including PCI DSS/PCI controls as applicable, and the ability to support audits by
maintaining accurate documentation, evidence, and remediation tracking. Ability to
assess risk, diagnose issues, and apply structured troubleshooting and root-cause
analysis. Demonstrated project and people management skills, including planning,
prioritization, delegation, vendor coordination, and change management. Strong
customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with
technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite and related productivity/collaboration tools. Ability to develop and
enforce policies, procedures, and standards; maintain accurate documentation; and
protect confidential information. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of AI tools and their safe, appropriate business use. Ability to work
independently, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and respond effectively during
incidents or after-hours emergencies when required.
Acceptable Training And Experience
A four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in computer science,
information systems, cybersecurity, business, or a closely related field, including
coursework in programming/software development, systems analysis, networking,
database design/implementation, and IT security. Must have at least two (2) years of
progressive leadership experience (supervisory or lead role) overseeing IT staff,
vendors, or major technology initiatives. Demonstrated experience supporting business-
critical systems, managing infrastructure and/or cloud services, and implementing IT
projects from requirements through delivery and support. Experience with budgeting,
vendor management, procurement, licensing, and contract/service level administration
preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to
indicate the ability to effectively perform the required duties of the position will be
considered.
Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Key Employee license
issued by New York State Gaming Commission.
Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves
standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and
fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This
includes tasks that may require the ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds at a time, move
files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Effective communication is
