JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSEResponsible for sales activities within a specific technical product portfolio, including maintaining existing business, building relationships, seeking growth opportunities and driving new sales.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Accountable for meeting sales targets.
- Conducts presentations and sales calls at designated target account sites.
- Maintains daily contact with accounts via various communication channels or onsite visits.
- Provides customers with new product information and technology training; actively participates in new product launches and continually keeps up to date on new systems and products.
- Supports Account Managers with customer needs in their specific technical product portfolio.
- Maintains and builds relationships with external and internal personnel in numerous departments.
- Offers accounts customer service including pricing, quotes, delivery and technical assistance, with the appropriate sense of urgency.
- Collaborates with customers to define product requirements, in line with the business strategy, to close opportunities.
- Maintains a sense of ownership for order from initating through installation, including expediting as necessary.
- Reports daily activities and maintains priority accounts in CRM software.
- Actively participates in shop floor meetings and meeting/exceeding established KPI's.
- Prospects for new business, using internal and external resources and follows up on leads to grow the territory.
- Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment.
- Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
- Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. Engineering degree optional.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a global environment,
technical aptitude preferred.

Equipment: Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment.
Lift/Stand/Carry: Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. independently.
PPE: Regularly required to wear safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vest, hard hat, long sleeves & belt protectors when visiting customer plants.
Misc: Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.
Participation: Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
