What is the opportunity?
As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for cloud security architecture and hands-on engineering, supporting SaaS platforms, containerized workloads, and AI‑enabled services. The ideal candidate has experience working in a SaaS environment, can independently design and implement security controls, and partners closely with engineering teams to embed security early in system and AI design. Here is a breakdown:
- Cloud, Container & SaaS Security: Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), SaaS services, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes environments, including identity, networking, and workload protection.
- Security Architecture Reviews: Participate in and lead security architecture and design reviews for new and existing systems, including AI‑enabled services, to assess risk and define appropriate guardrails.
- Shift‑Left & DevSecOps Collaboration: Partner with the Product Security team to embed security earlier in the development lifecycle by contributing to secure coding standards, CI/CD pipeline security gates, and developer security enablement.
- Data Security: Support data security initiatives across SaaS and AI‑enabled services, including data classification, access controls, and data residency considerations for multi‑tenant and regulated environments.
- Container & Kubernetes Security: Secure containerized and Kubernetes environments, including pod security, network policies, image scanning, and runtime protection.
- AI Security: Apply AI security frameworks (e.g., OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS) to threat assessments and security architecture reviews for AI‑enabled services.
- Guardrails & Standards: Define and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and design patterns used by engineering teams.
- Zero Trust: Apply Zero Trust principles across identity, network segmentation, and workload access in cloud and SaaS environments.
What will you bring to Omnissa?
- 8+ years of eperience in security, cloud, or platform engineering
- Strong cloud architecture and hands-on engineering experience (AWS and/or Azure
- Prior experience working at a SaaS company supporting production, multi‑tenant services
- Experience securing containerized and Kubernetes environments
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity, workload protection, and data security concepts
- Ability to independently own security design and implementation for complex systems
- Experience securing AI platforms or AI‑enabled services
- Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and/or MITRE ATLAS
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Relevant security or cloud certifications

Compensation:The typical base salary for this role is between USD $130,350 – $217,250 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
