Providence at Home is hiring Personal Care Attendants to provide essential home services to patients. We offer flexible per-diem shifts with a wide variety of hours in both South Orange County. If you’re dedicated to providing compassionate care and building meaningful relationships, join our team!
About the Role:
Personal Care Attendants deliver non-medical assistance, following a structured Plan of Care under clinician guidance. This includes personal care, e.g., bathing, dressing, feeding, adult diapering, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transfer/mobility support.
Pay Range:
$20.50 - $23/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care including hygiene assistance, feeding, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication reminders.
- Maintain clean, safe environments for clients.
- Report client condition updates and complete required documentation.
- Assist with guided non-medical exercises per care plan (e.g., walking, stretching).
- Uphold client confidentiality and ethical guidelines at all times.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Required experience: Previous work as a caregiver, or active CNA certification, or clinical experience as a nursing student.
- Preferred: 6 months of caregiving experience.
- Compassionate individuals with strong communication skills.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- Access to reliable transportation and proof of valid driver’s license/insurance (role may involve driving to appointments/errands).
- Active HCA registration with the California Department of Social Services or willingness to register upon hire.
- BLS certification (or willingness to secure within 30 days of hire).
