LSDP is growing, and we are hiring a high-performance manufacturing leader to help us scale with the discipline and operational rigor that growth demands. This is a role for a sharp, experienced operator who can step into a fast-moving shop, get up to speed quickly, and help take our execution standards to the next level.
We operate as one shop with three distinct production capabilities: CNC / Molding / Fabrication. This role owns execution across all three and the workflow that connects them, from quote and kickoff through production, inspection, packaging, inventory, and out the shipping dock. Each department has its own pace, constraints, and dependencies. Your job is to keep priorities, scheduling, quality, and customer commitments aligned end-to-end, partnering closely with the production manager, the front office, and ownership to keep our execution sharp as we scale.
Why this role matters
This role will help shape how we scale, how standards are reinforced, how work flows, and how operational excellence becomes a defining part of who we are. There is real runway here for the operator who can lead, execute, and elevate the business alongside the team.
If you want a role where high standards matter, where ownership is real, where your voice carries weight, and where your performance can shape the trajectory of a strong, growing manufacturing company - this is the kind of opportunity worth pursuing.
You will own:
- End-to-end workflow across all departments - work order creation, scheduling, production cadence, quality checkpoints, and on-time delivery
- Throughput and consistency improvements alongside the production manager - sharper priorities, smoother flow, stronger output across all three departments
- Shipping and receiving accountability - making sure SOPs are followed, jobs are packaged to company standard, inventory is updated in a timely manner, and every order ships or delivers on schedule.
- Cross-departmental coordination on commitments, reports, and customer deliverables
- Forward visibility into open jobs, capacity, schedule risk, and workflow planning across the shop
- Cleaner handoffs between quoting, kickoff, purchasing, scheduling, machining, molding, fabrication, inspection, packaging, and shipping
- Operating rhythms around priorities, ownership, finish dates, and weekly review cadence
- Process improvements in job costing, manufacturing visibility, work order accuracy, capacity planning, and shipping performance
- A culture where standards are clear, ownership is real, and high performers thrive
Who you are
- Manufacturing experience - you know what world-class execution looks like inside a real shop
- A background in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, oilfield, aerospace, industrial, or high-mix/low-volume production. You know how jobs flow and what separates great operating companies from average ones
- Comfortable on the floor, in meetings, with customers, and in the details
- Proactive, direct, and operationally credible - you challenge teams constructively, support leaders without micromanaging, and build systems people actually use
- You treat the shipping dock with the same rigor as the production floor - you understand a job is not done until it is packaged, inventoried, and out the door on time
- Comfortable on the floor, in meetings, with customers, and in the details
Required experience
- Manufacturing operations experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment
- Working familiarity with Fishbowl or similar systems for inventory control, work orders, purchasing, job tracking, and manufacturing workflow visibility
- Working command of quoting handoff, routing, scheduling, material readiness, machining, inspection, and shipping
- A track record of strengthening workflow and driving accountability across departments
- Confident, professional customer communication
- Strong judgment, urgency, and ownership mentality
- Willingness to spend meaningful time on the shop floor
Preferred experience
- Building shop-floor control systems, KPI reporting, visual management, or production review cadence
- Designing or improving shipping and receiving SOPs, packaging standards, or inventory accuracy practices
- Quality documentation, NCR processes, and customer-facing issue resolution

Director of Execution & Manufacturing — [Your Name]
In the email, answer this:
- If you stepped into this role, what would you focus on in the first 90 days, and what measurable improvements would you expect to help create over the next 12 to 24 months?
Keep it practical. We want to understand how you think about priorities, workflow, accountability, schedule risk, and customer commitments. Generic cover letters are not helpful here. A thoughtful, specific answer will stand out.
