The Banquet Cook will prepare and cook hot menu items for banquets and catered events according to established recipes and standards; assist with food preparation including portioning, seasoning, and cooking of meats, vegetables, and starches; execute banquet orders in a timely manner to meet event schedules and service timelines; maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas; follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines; work collaboratively with culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution; and assist with setup and breakdown of banquet kitchen operations as needed.
Key job requirements and duties:
- Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience within a full-service hotel property or full-service restaurant environment experience required
- Ability to property use kitchen tools & equipment and follow recipes properly and in a timely manner
- Experience preparing hot food items required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
