POSITION SUMMARY:
Our IT Support Technician provides end-user support and troubleshooting for personnel. This team member is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the local area network hardware, as well as for Microsoft 365, e-mail, network, and firewall administration.
This position works with the Infrastructure Architect on the implementation of new technologies. They will play a key role in coordinating upgrade initiatives, including assisting the Infrastructure Architect with facilitating activities such as upgrading systems with the latest versions of software, the rollout of new hardware, and training.

- Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls
- Provides first-line support, responds in a timely fashion to end users’ needs and concerns relating to computer business applications and general systems issues.
- Manages technical resources working onsite, providing vendors with all the information needed to assist in supporting the end-users.
- Diagnoses and resolves technical problems, prevents problem escalation, and provides solution tracking.
- Maintains logs for software and firmware updates, service contracts, support contracts, and passwords
- Works with Infrastructure Architect in designing technical systems and architecture.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by Infrastructure Architect

The IT Support Technician position is strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to move in a fast-paced environment.
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in IT
