Our client is looking for a sharp, service-oriented Level 1/2 Support Engineer to join their IT team on a contract-to-hire basis — starting at 24 hours per week with a clear path to full-time for the right person.
This isn't a call-center help desk role. You'll be hands-on with Microsoft infrastructure, supporting real users — including executives who expect fast, discreet, and polished service. What you'll do
- Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), and general hardware/software issues
- Deliver white-glove, executive-level support — calm, professional, and proactive for VIP and C-suite stakeholders
- Manage users, groups, and GPOs in Active Directory; support domain controllers and basic Windows Server tasks
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Intune — device enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment, and conditional access
- Set up and troubleshoot AV systems, conference room tech, and video conferencing (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms)
- Support printers and multifunction devices — driver installs, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination
- Provide live event support for town halls, executive meetings, and all-hands
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in a desktop/help desk support role in a corporate environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and device management
- Comfortable supporting domain controllers and basic server administration
- Experience with conference room AV and video conferencing platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills — especially with demanding or executive-level users
- Able to prioritize, stay composed, and work independently under pressure
Nice to have
- ★ Background in financial services (banking, asset management, insurance, fintech) — highly valued
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-900, AZ-900)
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice)
- Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID and hybrid identity environments
