Position Overview
We are a growing, multi-location equipment dealership and service company seeking an IT Manager to support and maintain our technology, infrastructure, and cybersecurity environment across all locations.
This is a hands-on player-coach role responsible for both executing day-to-day IT operations and leading a small team and external partners. The IT Manager will ensure systems are secure, stable, and responsive to business needs while helping drive practical improvements in processes, tools, and user experience.
This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys staying close to the work while developing team capability and supporting business growth.
PAY RANGE: $115,000-125,000 + 10% ANNUAL BONUS POTENTIAL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure, Networking & Security (Hands-On Execution)
- Administer and support a multi-site hybrid Active Directory environment (on-prem AD, Entra ID, Group Policy)
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switching, wireless, and firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Fortinet)
- Support SD-WAN connectivity across sites, including broadband and 5G failover
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity and performance issues
- Support cybersecurity tools and processes, including email security, endpoint protection, and SOC coordination (Huntress, RocketCyber)
- Participate directly in incident response, escalation, and remediation activities
Enterprise Systems & Data
- Provide day-to-day support for ERP platform (EBS Next) and SQL backend
- Assist with data integrity, reporting support, and issue resolution
- Partner with Finance and Operations teams to troubleshoot system and reporting issues
- Coordinate with vendors for system enhancements, fixes, and upgrades
Microsoft & End-User Computing
- Administer Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune)
- Support user access, device management, and endpoint security
- Assist with SharePoint administration including permissions and site organization
- Provide hands-on support and escalation for end-user issues as needed
IT Operations & Team Leadership
- Supervise and support IT staff and help desk operations
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of support tickets
- Help establish and maintain IT processes, documentation, and service standards
- Balance hands-on technical work with team oversight responsibilities
Vendors, Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with IT vendors and managed service providers (MSP)
- Support execution of IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades and security enhancements
- Provide input into IT budgeting and vendor evaluations
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network support
- 1–3 years of experience leading or mentoring team members
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL-based ERP systems (EBS Next or similar)
- Fortinet firewalls and network infrastructure
- Multi-site networking and remote support
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Cybersecurity tools and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot across systems, networks, and user environments
Enhanced Consideration
- Experience in a distributed or multi-location business
- Exposure to SQL or reporting tools
- Experience working with MSPs or outsourced IT partners
- Project coordination or implementation experience
Travel Requirements:
- Travel required as needed (approximately 25%) across Western United States.
