join our team and support the Director and Assistant Director of Front Office.

About Paramount
Hotel New York
Paramount Hotel is a New York City landmark located
just steps from Times Square. Constructed in the French Renaissance style by
Thomas W. Lamb in 1927, the building reflects the theatrical character of its
neighborhood. The bustle of the street disappears as you step inside - with its
two-story lobby, reflective fireplace, dramatic lighting, and rich textures, it
sets the stage for a hip, indulgent experience. Recently updated but retaining
its historical charm, the Paramount Hotel is standing out – as the only hotel
near Broadway NYC with genuine personality.
Kind of a “no brainer” to take this iconic hotel
with us on our Generator journey. While
making sure to keep its rich character - we are giving it the best parts of our
Generator DNA in order to transform this into a social driven, loud and
welcoming community hot spot (with some kick-ass parties & events, of
course).
What’s the job?
Nuts And Bolts Of The Job
- Supporting and reporting into the Assistant Director
of Front Office
- To ensure the standards of work expected are being achieved, thereby
maximising sales, revenue and customer satisfaction, measurable by internal and
external guest ratings
- To respond to all customer issues/complaints in a caring and empathetic
manner. Listen and show you care by
giving your undivided attention and handle any issues/complaints immediately,
within your authorisations
- To train new and existing staff on all Reception Functions in line with
the Standard Operating Procedures Handbook and the Training Schedule issued by
your Manager
- To continually monitor staff customer service standards and ensure that
staff are providing correct and up to date information to guests and customer
service standards are being maintained. Follow up with any staff on any areas
that need improving
- Attend FLSD training and pass on-site test for property

- Strong
leadership skills with ability to coach, mentor, train and develop crew members
- Fluent in
English and knowledge of a second language is desirable
- Hands-on
experience
- Available to
work as reasonably needed in line with business requirements
Your Rock Star Experience
- At least one year’s previous Reception
Supervisory experience
- Previous experience in leading and motivating
a team
- Competent level of IT proficiency
