PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Will be responsible for the setup of new computers, networks, IP phone systems, building access control, and camera security systems. Work closely with the building renovation General Contractor to maximize efficiency in the installation of each of these systems.
- Provide customer service to more than 150 employees. Provide support and installation for laptops, desktops, printers, and networks. Provide basic support for EMR issues. This support may be carried out in person or via remote access from the St.Vincent building.
- Responsible for overseeing the operations and infrastructure of all network topologies of the company. Managing routers, switches, VLANs, wireless networks, and network security. Responsibilities include day-to-day administrative tasks such as server management, interrupted power supplies, backups, domain maintenance, DNS, and DHCP server. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and Server 2016 and 2022.
- Manage applications on all network servers and all workstations. This includes loading new applications, verifying the correct operation of the applications, and applying patches/updates to the appropriate operating systems to ensure smooth operation of applications on all systems.
- Install new hardware and repair existing hardware as needed. Responsible for the installation and setup of workstations. Installing needed software such as Office 365, Systemedx, Providerflow, etc. Issue/manage email addresses via Office 365.
- Make recommendations concerning current and future system utilization and the resources needed to sustain acceptable performance. This will require ongoing communication with system users and continuing education in current technologies. Keep up to date with HIPAA standards.
- Manage the voice mail system. This includes user account management with Ring Central, new user set-up, system scheduling, and backup operations. Ensure correct telephone system operation. Work with telephone system service providers in setting up new services and maintaining current services.
- Responsibilities will also include the support for staff via the IT helpdesk ticket system, going to different locations and performing maintenance on the computers and network, documenting all information in the online ticket system, keeping up with inventory, helping in many projects to upgrade and advance the company technology, and calling out internet and cable TV issues to various service providers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must exhibit a good attitude and excellent customer service skills while interacting with an employee workforce with varying computer use skill levels and various levels of understanding of computer software and systems. Must be a team player. Must be willing to learn from his peers.
- Must be A+ and NET+ knowledgeable. Prefer experience in helpdesk support and IT helpdesk ticket software. Must have vast knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Server 2016 and 2022, Office 365, Excel, and Word.
- Must be knowledgeable of backup software, imaging software, and installation software. Must be willing to drive to different locations in Birmingham, Hoover, Gardendale, Pelham, Trussville, and Cullman.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, A+, or NET+ Certifications
Experience with Systemedx, ModMed, Ring Central.
