Summary
The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire Information Technology department and ensuring that our company’s technology meets its goals and objectives efficiently and reliably. This position will work closely with senior leadership, users, and the technology team to help determine the best way possible to meet the technological needs of the company.
Essential Functions
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of IT initiatives to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, network security, system administration, and data management.
- Have a clear understanding of workflow systems, CRM systems, marketing/promotional systems and working with ERP systems.
- Lead a team of IT analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Analyze complex IT systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the entire IT department, including budget, security, infrastructure, applications, contracts, contractors, and procurement of technology related items
- Liaise between all parties to best understand and meet department and business requirements
- Manage and oversee all stages of the development lifecycle for new projects
- Help prioritize short and long-term objectives to support growth and continuous improvement
- Maintain existing programs, ensuring that necessary updates are made timely
- Oversee the purchase and maintenance of hardware
- Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security
- Report progress and challenges to senior management
- Work to meet the overall corporate goals of ANA, ANAD, AMXS, and aC
- Optimize profitability and end user satisfaction through technology
- Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
- Develop, maintain, and test the Disaster Recovery Plan for the organization
- Coordinate with the aC IT group, to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding the requirements of security, company policies, and procedures
- Present and implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity
- Maintain a high level of current tradeshows, technical seminars, and training sessions
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will be responsible for managing third party IT contractors as well as IT staff at all US and Mexico locations.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position. This role uses standard equipment such as computers, filing cabinets, photocopiers, fax machines, and phones. This role can be hybrid or flexible but operates mainly in a professional environment with access to a break room for breaks and lunch.
General Requirements
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with teams across the entire organization
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Certified Microsoft Office Specialist or having all Microsoft badges is a plus
Physical Demands
- While performing this position, the employee must be able to and will regularly operate a computer, keyboard, and phone
- Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours determined by business needs
Travel
- Occasional overnight travel is required
- Site visits to all US locations must be conducted at least quarterly
Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 10 years + experience in the technology field
- 3 years + experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting
- Significant experience in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skill s
- Ability to foresee possible issues and troubleshoot them proactively

- Knowledge or interests in how manufacturing lines work and IT are incorporated into modern day manufacturing
