The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Ensuring human comfort, productivity, and safety while practicing environmental stewardship is the mission of AHRI. AHRI has an opening for an Information Security Analyst. This position plays a critical role in protecting the association’s member data, proprietary research, and digital platforms. The Information Security Analyst will monitor and respond to security threats, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and support secure operations for membership systems, event platforms, and advocacy tools.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Monitor association systems for security alerts and anomalies
Investigate and respond to incidents impacting member data or online services.
Perform regular vulnerability scans on association websites, portals, and third-party integrations
Conduct risk assessments association assets, networks and data
Help deliver cybersecurity training for staff and member-facing teams
Maintain and optimize security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college/university
Industry Security Credential, such CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC 200, or equivalent. CISSP or CISM is preferred but not required.
Two to four years in information security or IT security roles. Experience in nonprofit or association environments preferred
Familiarity with public cloud AZURE, endpoint management systems
Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)

AHRI offers a full benefits package with a flexible work schedule and a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $105,892 to $134,734 based upon experience.

The work location for this position is Arlington, VA. Subject to supervisor approval, AHRI employees are eligible for participation in AHRI's alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment and a 90-day appraisal at a level of meets expectations.
