Internship will begin in May 2026 and end in August 2026 There could be opportunity for an extension based on the needs of the business.
Location for this role will be on-site at our Warren, OH Battery Plant
Expect a Monday-Friday schedule on-site
$20.00 per hour
Ultium Cells Overview
Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

We are actively searching for IT Security Internship candidate to join the IT & Security Department in Warren, OH. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience within the IT & Security Department on-site at the Ultium Cells Battery Plant providing physical security support.
Internship Responsibilities
- Support 2026 ISO Surveillance audit
- Support FA improvement including TxOne deployment and overall improvements
- Support our incident response process
- Support our information security awareness program and occasionally conduct information security training.
- Review or Analyze phishing results and recommend improvements.
- Support physical security access control processes and audits
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in a IT Security or Information Security or related degree program, or a recent graduate.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and collaborating with team members.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt to changing financial landscapes.
- Availability for a flexible work schedule, accommodating occasional demands outside the standard work hours.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve shared goals.
