Description
SUMMARY: Oversees network administration, telecommunications equipment, , and staff. Ensures the operation of the IT department is streamlined and aligned with business objectives of the organization. Identify, recommend, develop, and implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the company.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise the administration of local and wide area networks; direct performance of diagnostics to identify and resolve network communications and telecommunication problems; ensure data integrity, reliability and performance standards from the core system
- Assist with strategic and project planning. Organize and negotiate the allocation of IT resources
- Participate as a member of the IT Steering Committee
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, business continuity, standards, and service provisions
- Coordinate with equipment, software and communications vendors to install, maintain and upgrade network configurations
- Maintain familiarity with current and emerging network software, hardware and communication technologies and make recommendations for implementations
- Assist Chief Information Officer with developing and implementing corporate IT technology plans and budget
- Assist departments in analyzing technology needs; evaluate software and hardware solutions; supports implementation
- Develop and maintain audit and programming standards to ensure security of corporate data
- Supervise, counsel and evaluate, Network Administrator(s), Support Technicians, and assist with supervising IT Operations
- Recommend continuing technical education for department staff
- Oversee development and maintenance of internal application programs; schedule department staff assignments and support coverage
- Responsible for maintaining technology aspects of the Disaster Recovery Plan for the department. Ensure that backup procedures are in place and department employees are trained
- Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages Network Administrators and Support staff. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university
- Minimum of seven (7) years IT related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with banking operations
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience
- Experience with the following is mandatory: Microsoft Server, Arista, Azure, Microsoft 365, Network Administration, Information Security, SQL, Exchange or other email platforms, and databases.
