The opportunity:
NWC is in search of a Event IT Tech, this position is responsible for preparing all events (client and exhibitor) needs for events. Setting equipment in a safe manner, educating the user and assisting as needed. This position will inventory equipment, organize and clean storage of equipment and supplies, maintain and upkeep items and order more as needed. This position will work with partners as needed and departments as well to make sure things are running smoothly and objectives established by the COO.

What you will do:
- Receive IT orders for events from exhibitor services or other methods, prepare orders and set them prior to events arriving or in coordination
- Doing basic education on use and getting clients prepared and resolve any issues or challenges
- Ongoing maintenance of equipment and supplies to make sure they are in working order, set par levels for ordering and manage that process
- Organize storage areas, make sure they are secure and easy to work in. All items should be labeled and stored properly
- Set all cables and equipment, activate lines as needed and deactivate and strike cables and equipment and store properly at end of event
- Track any requested hours by client to report for billing purposes
- Monitor connectivity and scheduled work on infrastructure and assist with any reporting
- Interact directly with clients, attendees and exhibitors that may have event IT resolution needed
What you will bring along:
- Exceptional skills in organizing, preparing for multiple events for allow for efficient use of labor and equipment
- Able to create and maintain processes for effective and efficient event set up and strike
- Strong ability to quickly identify problems under pressure and effectively communicate to all involved and resolve issues
- Must be able to adapt to ever changing situations adjusting priorities quickly
- Experience in Arena, Convention, Stadium is helpful
- This role is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, lifting, bending for long periods of time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This position can be performed through on-site work in Denver, Colorado.
Compensation range:
The starting salary is $25.00 - $27.00/HR

The brand-new Stockyards Event Center is a multipurpose space with two arenas, ample parking and views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. In 2018, the campus partners created the National Western Center Authority, a nonprofit organization responsible for operating, maintaining, programming, and promoting the National Western Center. The Authority is the primary entity responsible for ensuring the National Western Center achieves its mission. It is also responsible for developing a community investment fund benefiting the residents of the Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods in which the campus is located. The Authority's work is well underway in preparation for buildings being completed and the larger campus opening to the public. The Authority is guided by a 13-member board of directors. The Authority is doing business as (DBA) the National Western Center.
