About The Opportunity
The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for protecting our organization’s information systems and data from potential threats and breaches. The IT Security Analyst will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our information assets.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and best practices.
- Analyze security breaches and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into system designs and applications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
A strong candidate will have
- Certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Security Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and network security.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS).
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
