The Director of Sales will have complete responsibility for sales activities at all Level properties operating in Los Angeles and Long Beach, working in tandem with the Marketing and Revenue Management teams at corporate office. The DOS will be involved in strategic planning and will be responsible for contributing to the profitable operation of all Level properties.

What Will You Do?
- Lead, manage and develop the sales teams to achieve revenue and occupancy goals.
- Develop the annual sales plans and budgets, including establishing room rates and revenue and occupancy targets as agreed upon by the revenue team and ownership.
- Conduct monthly reviews of activities with sales staff, reviews of revenues and competitive stats, and annual performance reviews.
- Provide weekly updates of sales activities to management and ownership as requested.
- Attend weekly meetings, revenue meetings, operations meetings, and other departmental meetings as appropriate, providing reports on sales activities & strategies.
- Assign markets and territories to sales staff to maximize productivity.
- Research, identify, target, and solidify new business in assigned markets and provide support to sales staff in their assigned markets.
- Work with revenue teams to maximize yield and ensure best revenue management practices.
- Collaborate with marketing and revenue team to create and implement packages and promotions.
- Develop customer, community, and industry relationships.
- Seek and establish partnership and sponsorship deals as appropriate.
- Maintain client and guest databases, with a focus on digital marketing strategies.
- Work with revenue and operations teams to ensure repeat business is encouraged and rewarded.
- Participate in trade shows, fam trips, entertainment of clients and industry events.
- Liaise with sales and marketing suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Communicate, support, and demonstrate the philosophy, culture, vision, values, and branding of Level in all aspects of sales and marketing.
- Act as a gatekeeper of the Level brand and ensure all communications, sales materials, and website content meet branding standards
- Develop and maintain a customer database within, but not limited to the following market segments:
- US Corporate Market
- Consulting / Project Relocations
- Insurance
- Entertainment / Production
- Health and Government
What You Bring:
- Selling Skills, which are at minimum above the industry average, including but not limited to prospecting, rate and contract negotiating, business planning and cold calls.
- A minimum of four years hospitality sales experience in the Corporate Housing Market and/or an excellent network of clients are required to succeed in this position.
- Knowledge of the management of sales personnel, budget, marketing, forecasting, profit/loss ratios, and daily departmental operations.
- Knowledge of industry, current market trends, and economic factors.
- Ability to manage time, resources, and personnel effectively and productively.
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management would be an asset.
- Commitment to exceeding guest/client expectations
Salary Range:
$125,000 - $135,000
