Position Summary:
Milacron has an exciting opportunity for an experienced New Product Development- Electrical Engineerwho can join our team in Batavia, OH and will be responsible for the identification, design, development, documentation, support, and maintenance of solutions for new technologies and sub systems
Work You’ll Do:
- Create concepts, review, and approve hardware and software specifications & concepts.
- Strong knowledge of electric motors, drives, electrical connectors including electrical components is required.
- Design, develop, test, and document embedded software and functional test systems, both independently and as part of a team, from initial concepts to design and development.
- Evaluate and implement current and future technologies and requirements in electronic products.
- Analyze, evaluate, improve, or develop new control algorithms for specific applications or machine types, and document them.
- Explore pre gate technologies in other products and develop tool to rate technologies and integration.
- Adhere to stage gate process and demonstrated experience using Matlab, Simulink, Maplesim, or equivalent.
- Understanding of remote sensing and hardware requirements
- Ensure the delivery of hardware and software for subsystem trials on time and within budget, adopt a customer-oriented approach to tailor products to market and stakeholder requirements, and maintain a safe and hazard-free workspace and testing environment.
- Willing to travel up to 20%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a concentration in electrical engineering (or related experience and education in a higher education establishment).
- 5+ years of experience with controls engineering, electrical systems and microcontrollers.
- Hands on experience on high voltage (<600V) systems
- Alternate energy systems experience is highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of NEC, CE, EMC Directives, and agile development methodology.
- Understanding of weighing, dosing, material handling systems, manufacturing systems, material flow and related processes, or industry experience.

• Experience working with an international team.
• Proven technical, analytical, creative, and innovative problem-solving results in a hybrid environment.
