Role Overview
We are seeking an IT Specialist to manage and maintain a faith-based organization's technology infrastructure. This role is ideal for a jack & jill-of-all-trades IT professional who can handle network security, firewall management, Microsoft systems, and database administration. You will be the primary in-house IT resource for a small organization (20 or fewer employees), transitioning from outsourced IT to internal support.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Network & Security
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls and network security protocols.
- Ensure system integrity and protect against cyber threats.
✅ Systems Administration
- Manage Microsoft-based infrastructure (Windows OS, Office 365, Exchange).
- Provide Tier 1-2 desktop support for staff and troubleshoot technical issues.
✅ Database & Application Support
- Administer Ministry Platform and other ministry-specific software (training provided).
- Maintain and update records, resolve duplicate entries, and support parish-level reporting.
✅ Vendor Coordination
- Work with third-party vendors for help desk and specialized support as needed.
- Assist in transitioning away from managed IT services to in-house solutions.
Qualifications
✔ 3+ years of IT experience in network and systems administration.
✔ Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange).
✔ Experience with firewall configuration and network security.
✔ Familiarity with database management and troubleshooting.
✔ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
✔ Comfortable working in a faith-based environment (no religious affiliation required).
Compensation
$50k-$60k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
