ABOUT THE ROLE:
Senior WMS Business Systems Analyst is a seasoned technology leader with a record of success in a fast-paced, highly automated distribution center. This person will be accountable for the development of global Warehouse Systems in various countries, working with our development and operations teams to constantly improve and extend our capabilities. This person will serve as the key focal point for our analyst teams, with responsibility to data and distribution center accuracy and systems stability in a worldwide distribution model.
This position oversees and directs activities related to the Manhattan Associates WMi Warehouse Management System through the administration, configuration, and analysis of distribution activities and will provide general maintenance and recommend system enhancements on WMS software and other related software components.
A wide range of logistics experience is required which may include start-ups, business turnarounds, expansions, new technologies, and equipment additions. This person will identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs. Use of technical knowledge to design, document and implement solutions to meet requirements/specifications for efficient business operations. Perform system configuration of Manhattan Associates WMi Warehouse Management System (WMS). Develop and execute unit test plans to validate system configuration.
Travel required, domestic and international, when new warehouses are added and/or major enhancements are featured.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Propose solutions to improve Distribution Center fulfillment
- Design and Testing of the proposed solutions on both technical and business compliance standards
- Analyze, develop, prepare and implement the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
- Facilitates and advises users on best solutions/practices to reduce to a minimum the manual and repetitive tasks to increase quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Works with and guides Global IT teams to facilitate operational changes and software enhancements to improve overall efficiency and production standards.
- Defines local business requirements for WMS software upgrades, deployment, and system configuration updates
- Translates local client and customer requirements into technical specifications
- Analyzes and performs research / problem resolution on any reported problem
- Evaluates system specifications to meet business requirements
- Maintains various applications and WMS configurations on the IBMi platform
- Recommend and manage system changes including new concepts, system improvements changes with software supplier
- Plans a testing schedule for completing the systems operations
- Supervises the implementation of new systems and report outcome to management
- Creates, updates and maintains user documentation: inform users on the new functions and how to use them
- Document and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
- Shared responsibilities for technical support of various systems used in the day to day operations of the warehouse, including, but not limited to, WMS (warehouse management system from Manhattan Associates), Customs and Export applications, EDI systems, ERP interfaces
- Assist all departments and other onsite business partners with interfacing requests with WMS software
- Interfaces with WMS Development team for new requirements and systems enhancements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of experience in Manhattan Associates WMi Warehouse Management Systems,
- 10+ years’ experience in distribution and logistics
- Integration and development of warehouse controls and automation subsystems such as unit sorters, storage systems, sortation systems, robotics, goods to person systems, etc.
- Manhattan Associates WMi or similar
- SQL and Database analysis
- Excel and other data analysis tools
- IBM iSeries Power platform (aka: AS/400)

The pay range for this position is $190,000 - $200,000/yr USD.
