IntePros is seeking an
Entry-Level Computer Hardware Technician to support onsite IT hardware diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. This is a
temporary contractor position with an initial three-month term and the possibility of extension based on performance and workload.
This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys
hands-on, break/fix work and wants to build hardware troubleshooting experience. The position involves
repetitive repair and maintenance tasks rather than high-level engineering or systems administration. Training and guidance will be provided throughout the engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues on Windows and Chromebook devices, identifying root causes of malfunctions, connectivity issues, or component failures.
- Perform break/fix repairs and hardware replacements following standard procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and extend device lifespan.
- Replace and configure components such as hard drives, RAM, motherboards, power supplies, and peripherals to restore functionality.
- Document and track work in an IT service desk system, maintaining accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Perform quality assurance checks on repaired or upgraded devices to ensure reliability and performance standards are met.
- Support inventory tracking and help identify recurring hardware issues or repair trends.
