What You Will Do:
- Plans, designs, and reconfigures building equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimalutilization of the organization’s facilities.
- Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.
- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
- May supervise employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one ormore of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance.
- Coordinates property control activities to ensure continual accountability of government, associate contractor, or company property in accordance with applicable government regulations or corporate policy.
- Arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required material or equipment.
- Establishesactions and schedulesforthemaintenanceofthebuilding and peripheralequipment, ensuringproperoperation, appearance, and compliancewithapplicable legal requirements.
- Coordinatescontractoractivitiesforvariousbuilding-relatedprojects.
- Measures and ensurestheefficient use ofthebuilding’senergyresources and productionprocesses.
- Monitors, controls, and ensurestheproperfunctioningofsustainabilityprojectsimplementedon-site, whilealsoproposingimprovementsor new projectsthatprovideeconomic and environmentalbenefits.
- Maintainseffectivecommunication and interdisciplinarycollaboration (withProduction, EHS, Quality, and Global Facilities).
- Coordinates the maintenance and updating of site drawings, modifying them as physical changes are made to the facilities.
QualificationsYouMustHave:
- University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance of corporate or industrial buildings.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Electrical systems (medium and low voltage)
- HVAC and environmental control systems (temperature, humidity, HEPA filtration)
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and compressed air systems
- Infrastructure maintenance (roofs, floors, docks, lighting, etc.)
- Local regulations: STPS, NOMs, CFE, Protección Civil, SEMARNAT
- Project management for expansion or remodeling (construction management)
- Advanced English (able to communicate with corporate or foreign suppliers and participate in meetings in English).
- AutoCAD, SAP, preventive maintenance management software, BMS or CMMS systems.
- Experience in coordination and administration of contractors.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certifications: LEED, PMP, Six Sigma Green Beltor Black Belt.
- Experience in criticalfacilities (cleanrooms, laboratories, test areas).
- Experience in fireprotectionsystems, watertreatment, and liquidnitrogensystems.
- Participation in Global orSharedServicesFacility Management projects.
- Knowledgeof AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Knowledgeofwork at heights, electricalwork, and confinedspaceoperations.
