SUMMARYRiskand Safety Manager drives the organization's risk management and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across company operations and client sites. This role combines strategic leadership in risk management with hands-on implementation of safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance while building a proactive safety culture. The position requiresexpertisein both risk management principles and EHS regulations to develop tailored solutions for diverse operational environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Strategic Planning and Program Management
- Develop and implement risk management and safety strategies aligned with business goals.
- Establish andmaintainsafety management systems.
- Lead sustainability andenvironmental stewardship initiatives.
- Create metrics andKPIs to measure program effectiveness
- Self-starter with a proactive approach toidentifyingand addressing issues.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance
- Lead risk assessments, compliance audits, andcorrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations at all levels.
- Manage relationships with regulators and external auditors.
- Monitor industry trends andemerging risks to update programs.
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Policy development and Implementation
- Establish safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Create standardized processes for risk identification andmitigation.
- Training and CulturalDevelopment
- Design comprehensive safety training programs
- Facilitate leadership development in safety management
- Build andmaintaina positive safety culture
- Coordinate safety committees and employee engagement initiatives
- Create recognitionprograms for safety achievements
- Stakeholder Management and Reporting
- Collaborate with operations to implement safety initiatives andprovidetechnical guidance.
- Present performance reports to senior management.
- Work with clients on site-specific safety and coordinate risk mitigation with insurers.
- Performance Monitoring and Administration
- Track and analyze safety metrics and trending
- Prepare regulatory reports and documentation
- Maintain safety management software systems
- Self-starter with a proactive approach toidentifyingand addressing performance issues.
- Works with HR onworker'scompensation cases, ensuring complianceand safety.
- All other duties assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications- Minimum2-4years' experienceas an occupational health, safety, and risk manager
- Proventrack recordimplementing successful Risk and EHS programs in complex environments
- Demonstrated experience with safety management software systems
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local OSHA regulations and industry best practices

- Associate Safety Professional (preferred)
- Certified Safety Professional (highly preferred)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with relevance to Risk Management,Construction Management,Occupational Safety,Engineering, or related field
