Job Responsibilities- Under the supervision of the Assistant Deputy Director, Programs, Reentry and Rehabilitative Services, directs and monitors all educational functions.
- Directs all activities pertaining to educational operations of the Palmetto Unified School District (PUSD) within the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
- Ensures inmates are provided quality academic instruction, and varying vocational training opportunities preparing them for successful reentry into society.
- Oversee academic instruction in nine (9) EFA high schools, adult and vocational education in all institutions, while expanding DOL certified apprenticeship programs across the agency.
- Demonstrates effective and motivational management and leadership; represents the school district in the administration of all federal projects.

- Possess South Carolina Department of Education Superintendent Certification.
Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in public schools that must include classroom instruction and serving as a principal, or in other supervisory positions.
- Successful candidate must have a strong background in curriculum and instruction, with experience in personnel, planning and accountability; proficiency in organization and administration of short-term and long-term strategic planning,
- Strong communication skills, cultivating effective team building, fostering community partners, as well as effective decision-making, delegation, and follow through.
