Role Description
Fizen Technology is seeking a full-time, Information Technology Level 2 Engineer in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This role requires experience with hardware and network configuration, including building servers, configuring RAID arrays, installing and managing routers and firewalls, and supporting physical infrastructure. The IT Engineer will handle support duties, network security, and day-to-day troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy servers, storage systems, and network hardware
- Set up and maintain RAID arrays and backup systems
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices
- Respond to Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk tickets
- Monitor and maintain network security and uptime
- Support client onboarding and infrastructure upgrades
- Document technical processes and configurations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in configuring and supporting IT infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills
- Hands-on experience with physical hardware, server builds, and networking gear
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or CCNA preferred
- Experience in an MSP or fast-paced IT support environment is a plus
