Job Summary – IT Project Manager (City Of Philadelphia)

Manage end-to-end IT projects, including defining project scope, contract deliverables, and targeted outcomes.
Ensure timely completion of project requirements within established budget constraints.
Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, assign responsibilities, and develop project timelines.
Oversee project costs and ensure delivery aligns with budgetary guidelines.
Ensure project compatibility with existing architectural and enterprise standards.
Conduct cost/benefit analyses for project actions and initiatives.
Schedule and facilitate project meetings; document and distribute meeting minutes.
Adhere to OIT Project Management practices and prescribed SDLC methodologies.
Prepare and deliver status reports, summaries, and dashboards for mid- and senior management.
Provide support, coaching, and mentoring on project management best practices to project coordinators.

Required Skills And Experience

Strong understanding of servers, storage, mainframes, performance management, disaster recovery, data center management, managed services, and cloud computing.
Expertise in IT project management best practices and principles (PMBOK highly required).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field from an accredited institution.
3-5 years’ experience managing multiple, large, cross-functional IT projects.
4-6 years of relevant business experience.
PMP certification or Master’s Certificate in Project Management required.
Combination of education and experience acceptable to the Office of Innovation & Technology and HR.
