Job Description Summary
As an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist, your clinical responsibilities will consist primarily of seeing ob/gyn patients in an outpatient setting and providing admission, discharge, and rounding on inpatients on both the obstetrics (including labor and delivery) and gynecology (including the operating room) services. You will also be responsible for providing consultative services in the Emergency Department, including the management of ob/gyn patients with other hospital services. You will provide the above services and be expected to take ob/gyn call when assigned or as needed by the Department, with a minimum requirement of ten (10) days of 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage per month at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center (the "Hospital Call Requirement"). Your clinical footprint will be based in the MUSC Health Catawba Division - Lancaster Ob/Gyn Clinics and the MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center.
In addition to your other responsibilities, you will be expected to actively participate in the academic activities of the Division, Department and College. This participation includes regular attendance at educational activities including mentorship of clinical and/or research post-doctoral fellows as well as graduate students.
