Position Summary:Reporting to the Senior Medical Director - Fallsway, the Medical Director of Primary Care provides clinical leadership and direct patient care while overseeing the medical provider team. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role ensuring access to trauma-informed, high-quality, and anti-racist care for people experiencing homelessness and poverty.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of providers across adult, pediatric, and prenatal clinics.
- Lead efforts to improve access, quality, and patient outcomes through collaborative scheduling, workflow planning, and clinical excellence.
- Represent medical staff in agency-wide initiatives and support strategic planning and performance goals.
- Foster a racially equitable, inclusive, and collaborative care environment.
- Deliver direct clinical care six sessions per week using a client-centered, trauma-informed approach.
- Oversee special programs including The Access Partnership (TAP), Vision Services, Reach Out and Read, and more.
- Precept clinical learners and coordinate rotations.
Qualifications:- MD/DO: Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics with Maryland licensure and at least 3 years of clinical experience.
- NP: Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Maryland licensure and 5+ years of clinical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a community health or ambulatory care setting; 1+ year of supervisory experience.
- Experience providing care to underserved and homeless populations is highly preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.

- Strong commitment to racial equity and trauma-informed care.
- Proficiency with EHRs and Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of public health, harm reduction, and healthcare delivery systems.
