Line Chef — Laguna Canyon Provisions (Irvine)

Compensation: $23–26/hour (experience dependent) + tips · Full-time, hourly · Weekends off!

Laguna Canyon Provisions is a new, culinary-driven multi-concept food hall one exit north of the Irvine Spectrum Center. Under one roof, we bring together six distinct concepts, each with its own identity and menu:

Laguna Canyon Provisions | Café + Wine Counter
Gould's Delicatessen | New York – Inspired Delicatessen
Hearthwork | Hearth-Fired Roman-Style Pinsas
Taratza | Mediterranean Bowls + Salads
Bowl Theory | Pan-Asian Bowls
OC Originals | Burgers + Chicken Sandwiches

This is a chef-forward approach to the food hall, where every concept holds itself to real restaurant standards. We recently opened our doors and are looking to build on our opening team — which means real opportunity. The chefs who join us in this early phase will be the ones we look to as we grow.

A daytime schedule with weekends off: This is a Monday-to-Friday, daytime operation. If you've spent years missing weekends and working nights, this is your chance to build a serious culinary career and still have your evenings and weekends free.

Why this role is different: Because of our food-hall style of service, the overwhelming majority of tips go to our heart-of-house team. If you've spent your career in the kitchen watching the tip pool flow to the front, this is a rare chance to be rewarded for the work you actually do. Here, the heart of house takes center stage.

We're seeking line chefs who:

-Take pride in consistency, cleanliness, and execution
-Are capable of working — or desire to learn — multiple stations and cuisines
-Stay calm, focused, and organized during high intensity, busy rushes
-Bring a team-oriented attitude and communicate well
-Are reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about food
-Have prior kitchen experience (preferred, but a hard-working, fast-learning attitude goes a long way — all skill levels are encouraged to apply)

Nice to have:

Experience in any of our planned cuisines — high energy, New York-style deli, Mediterranean, Pan-Asian, Roman Pinsa/pizza, or burgers (a plus, but not required)

Catering experience — catering will be a meaningful part of what we do, so any background in this realm is a benefit!

What you'll do:

-Execute menu items with precision and attention to detail
-Run and support your station through prep and service
-Help maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
-Assist with prep, inventory, and ordering as needed
-Cross-train across concepts as our operation grows
-Support our catering operations through prep and execution

Compensation + Benefits:

$23–26/hour, experience dependent — with the majority of tips going to the kitchen
Monday–Friday daytime schedule — weekends off
Full-time schedule available
Subsidized health insurance (Company contributes 50% of premium for eligible employees)
Complimentary meal every shift
Paid sick leave per California law
Growth and advancement as we build out our team

If you're passionate about food and want to help launch one of Irvine's most exciting new culinary concepts — where the kitchen is the heart of everything — we'd love to hear from you.

Send your resume and a brief note telling us about your experience and why you'd be a great fit for Laguna Canyon Provisions.
