Job Summary

The Jr. Network Administrator will ensure the stable operation of the enterprise computer network and implement and/or facilitate the initiatives of Chief Information Officer.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software and communication links
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
Develop, implement, and maintain the policies and procedures for network resource administration and disaster recovery
Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
Will have duties for audio/visual for classrooms support
Will need to be willing to alternate to 10-7pm throughout academic year to support evening classes when requested
Be able to backup in terms of Helpdesk Tier 2 Operations.
Implement other job duties as directed

Minimum Qualifications

Associates or bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field; equivalent training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science
Network +
Certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
Cisco Networking experience.
Higher Education Experience

Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
