Responsibilities Job Summary: - Works as a member of the system senior leadership team to achieve system goals.
- Responsible for the development of partnerships and affiliations throughout and bordering Kansas to create an effective network of providers and services to manage the health of populations and to accomplish Via Christi's objectives
- Serves as Via Christi's representative to all affiliated community hospital Boards. This may be in person or through delegation to Board Liaisons.
- Develops strong interpersonal and organizational relationships with affiliated organizations and potential affiliates and their respective governance, management and medical staff leaders.
- Establishes processes to ensure routine support for affiliated organizations, through participation in board meetings and other structures, and responds promptly to requests for assistance.
- Responsible for the services and support provided to rural hospitals with formal relationships with Via Christi.
- Identifies potential new rural hospital affiliates
- Oversees hospital operations of formally affiliated community hospitals; assuring effective operations and accomplishment of operating targets.
- Meets with hospital administrators, physicians and others in the region to facilitate Via Christi's goals.
- Facilitates business development opportunities and community relationship building in selected markets.
- Conducts and/or participates in planning efforts with regional partners. Develops strategic and operational plans for Via Christi in the region.
- Facilitates the growth of telehealth services throughout Via Christi, finding new ways to connect providers and consumers of care through electronic and digital technology and methods. Utilizes telehealth opportunities to facilitate the provision of care in regional settings, leveraging technology and improved connectivity.
- Coordinates Via Christi's regional outreach efforts and expands primary and specialty care services throughout the region.
- Works to align network physicians with Via Christi.
- Works to expand Via Christi's physician specialist presence in community markets to meet community needs. Conducts feasibility analysis of proposed joint ventures or partnerships in regional areas, working with finance and planning staff to develop a recommendation for Via Christi participation.
- Participates in regional community activities.
- Maintains a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information on all aspects of assigned functions.
- Works with Via Christi's ELT to establish long-range strategic plans and annual goals for the Network.
- Works with the Network CEO's and Via Christi hospital leadership to develop business plans, as needed, including financial targets, necessary resources and timelines to facilitate the design and implementation of programs and services.
- Promotes the strategies and goals of Via Christi, including improving quality, lowering costs, increasing access to services and pursuing service excellence
Requirements Education:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 5 of those years being in leadership/management.
