HR Direct Services is hiring Machine Shop Assistants in Ontario, CA!
We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individuals to join a fast-paced machine shop environment. If you enjoy hands-on work and have experience using basic hand tools, we want to hear from you!
POSITION DETAILS
Location: Ontario, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist machine shop operators with daily production tasks.
Help move, position, and flip parts safely.
Use basic hand tools such as wrenches and pliers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety procedures and production instructions.
REQUIREMENTS
Mechanically inclined with basic hand tool knowledge.
Comfortable working in a machine shop environment.
Must have slip-resistant/oil-resistant safety shoes.
Must pass an instant drug test prior to placement.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for 8–10 hours per shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing.
Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
Ability to work safely on uneven or occasionally slippery surfaces.
