Description We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to join a commercial construction-related business in Hinsdale, Illinois for a Contract assignment with an immediate start. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone who works carefully, handles a high volume of information accurately, and can support daily order processing activities with minimal ramp-up time. The role offers a steady weekday schedule and the chance to contribute to a fast-paced work environment during a time-sensitive project.
Responsibilities:
Process incoming order details by entering information into the company's order management platform with a strong focus on accuracy.
Move and organize data from Excel files into internal records while checking for completeness and consistency.
Revise pricing quotes, customer details, and order documentation as updates are received.
Maintain organized order histories and customer files so records remain current and easy to reference.
Review entered information for errors and resolve discrepancies to support smooth order handling.
Assist with general administrative tasks related to order coordination and document management. Requirements - Prior experience in order entry, order processing, or high-volume data entry work.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for handling spreadsheets and transferring information.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when managing numeric and text-based data.
Ability to learn new software applications quickly and use them effectively in daily work.
Comfortable typing and performing repetitive data entry tasks in a fast-paced environment.
