Position Overview
We are looking for an energetic, dependable Line Cook with breakfast cooking experience to join our Broken Yolk Cafe team in Carmel Mountain!
As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items with attention to detail, consistency, and urgency. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of menu items according to company recipes and specifications.
Set up and prepare the kitchen for daily service.
Safely operate grills, stoves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift.
Properly handle food products and maintain required food safety temperatures.
Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate professionally with team members and management.
Follow POS order tickets and accommodate customer dietary restrictions and preferences.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Properly close the kitchen and complete assigned deep-cleaning projects.
Stand for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours).
Qualifications & Requirements
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
Knowledge of proper knife handling and safety.
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
At least one year of kitchen or restaurant experience strongly preferred.
Breakfast cooking experience is a plus.
Weekend and holiday availability required.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
English proficiency required.

Responsabilidades
Preparar alimentos siguiendo las recetas y especificaciones de la empresa.
Organizar y preparar la cocina para el servicio diario.
Operar de manera segura parrillas, estufas, freidoras y otros equipos de cocina.
Mantener la limpieza y sanitización de las áreas de trabajo.
Manipular correctamente los alimentos y mantener las temperaturas adecuadas.
Seguir instrucciones y comunicarse profesionalmente con compañeros y gerencia.
Preparar pedidos de acuerdo con las preferencias y restricciones alimenticias de los clientes.
Trabajar eficientemente en un ambiente rápido y de alto volumen.
Cerrar la cocina correctamente y completar las tareas de limpieza profunda.
Requisitos
Actitud positiva, responsabilidad y ganas de aprender.
Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
Capacidad para levantar hasta 25 libras repetidamente.
Conocimiento del manejo seguro de cuchillos.
Experiencia previa en restaurantes de alto volumen preferida.
Se prefiere al menos un año de experiencia en cocina.
Experiencia preparando desayunos es una ventaja.
Disponibilidad para trabajar fines de semana y días festivos.
Tener al menos 16 años.
Autorización para trabajar en los Estados Unidos.
