Hook & Anchor is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hospitality-driven bartender to join our team!
We're a casual seafood restaurant offering elevated food, craft cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for someone who understands that great bartending goes beyond making drinks. It's about creating memorable guest experiences, anticipating needs, and working together as a team.
Qualifications & Expectations:
Previous bartending AND full-service restaurant serving experience required.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
Experience managing bar guests, service well tickets, and dining tables simultaneously.
Ability to provide complete food and beverage service, including taking orders, coursing meals, making recommendations, and processing payments.
Excellent hospitality skills with a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs.
Ability to work cleanly, stay organized, multitask, and maintain efficiency during busy shifts.
Strong communication skills, dependability, accountability, and a team-first mentality.
Comfortable with all aspects of bar operations, including opening, closing, restocking, running food, and bussing tables.
We are specifically seeking candidates with established full-service restaurant experience. Backgrounds primarily limited to nightlife, dive bars, or drink-only service may not align with this position.
Scheduling Requirements:
Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Must be available for consistent dinner shifts during the week.
Must have a flexible and dependable schedule.
Applicants seeking morning or lunch-only shifts will not be considered.
About Our Bar:
Our bar functions as its own full-service section, including bar seating, surrounding tables, and patio seating.
Bartenders are expected to manage their guests from start to finish while also preparing drinks for the restaurant and supporting their coworkers.
This is a hands-on position that requires initiative, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality.
