Savoie, a French Alpine-inspired fine dining restaurant in the heart of Tahoe City, is seeking polished, personable, and hospitality-driven individuals to join our front-of-house team.
We are hiring for two positions: Host and Maître d’Hôtel.
Both positions are essential to creating an exceptional guest experience, from the first greeting to the final farewell. We are looking for individuals who take pride in genuine hospitality, thoughtful service, and attention to detail.
Host | $19/hour + Tip Pool
As a Host, you will be one of the first and last faces our guests encounter, helping set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome guests warmly and provide an exceptional first impression.
Assist with reservations, seating, and guest inquiries.
Answer incoming calls, emails, and reservation requests.
Maintain an organized, polished, and welcoming host station.
Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, and requests to the service team.
Ensure every guest receives a warm and thoughtful farewell.

Hospitality Leadership & Career Growth Opportunity
This hands-on, entry-level leadership position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional looking to advance into fine dining management.
The Maître d’Hôtel plays a central role in managing the guest experience, optimizing dining room operations, and supporting our private dining and events program.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage the evening's dining room floor plan, optimizing seating, pacing, and guest flow.
Manage reservations, guest profiles, and seating strategy using SevenRooms.
Assist the Director of Events with private dining inquiries, securing bookings, and coordinating event details.
Utilize Tripleseat for event inquiries, lead tracking, proposals, and event coordination.
Identify opportunities to grow private dining and special event business.
Coordinate VIP experiences, special occasions, and guest preferences.
Provide guidance and support to the host team.
Collaborate with management, the kitchen, and service staff to ensure seamless operations.
Support guest relations, service recovery, and daily restaurant operations.
Maintain a polished, professional presence throughout service.
What We're Looking For
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience; fine dining experience preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Familiarity with SevenRooms, Tripleseat, or similar reservation and event management platforms is a plus.
Leadership potential, reliability, and a desire to grow professionally.
