Mangos Southern Kitchen & Bar is seeking a dependable, hands-on Key Front of House Manager to support daily operations and lead service during assigned shifts. This keyholder position works closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, support our team, and create an elevated, welcoming guest experience across our dining room, lounge, and rooftop.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the manager on duty during designated shifts, overseeing hosts, servers, bartenders, and server assistants.
- Perform keyholder duties, including opening and closing the restaurant, securing the premises, and following alarm procedures.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, assign service responsibilities, and provide hands-on support during busy periods.
- Manage reservations, seating flow, and service pacing.
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to maintain accurate orders and timely service.
- Help train and coach staff on hospitality standards, menu knowledge, and restaurant procedures.
- Complete cash handling, shift reconciliation, and POS tasks according to company procedures.
- Maintain dining room presentation, cleanliness, and readiness for service.
- Support private events and Mangos After Dark.
- Communicate shift updates, staffing concerns, and maintenance needs to the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience as a keyholder, shift leader, lead server, or front of house manager.
- Strong communication, leadership, and guest service skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to remain composed during busy service.
- Familiarity with POS systems and reservation platforms; OpenTable experience preferred.
- Dependability and attention to detail when handling keys, cash, and closing procedures.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events.
