Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and keep treatment areas clean
Take X-rays and record patient information
Use Eaglesoft for charting, scheduling, notes, and treatment plans
Communicate with patients in both Spanish and English, explaining instructions and aftercare
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures.
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging equipment while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with clinical confidentiality policies.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures in both Spanish and English, taking vital signs, and managing patient questions or concerns with professionalism.
Support the dental team with dental instrument processing, infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and dental equipment maintenance to uphold the highest standards of clinical hygiene.
Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently using patient management software.
Support the front desk team as needed
Skills
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse patients.
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate medical records management.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
Experience with dental x-ray techniques including intraoral imaging and 3D scanning technology.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry procedures.
Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and infection prevention management.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and medical documentation accurately within a clinical setting.
Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
