Clayton's Coronado is hiring for experienced AM prep cooks. Shifts are typically 4am to noon. Must have at least one year experience in prep.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a hands-on production position requiring strong organization, consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. The AM
Production prep cook is expected to work independently while communicating closely with the team to ensure all products are completed on time and ready for service.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Consistency: Products are made according to established recipes and standards every day.
Organization: Production is planned and executed in the proper sequence to meet service deadlines.
Speed & Efficiency: Works with urgency while maintaining quality.
Accuracy: Recipes, weights, yields, temperatures, and production quantities are followed precisely.
Communication: Production issues, shortages, equipment problems, and quality concerns are
communicated promptly.
Teamwork: Supports the overall needs of the bakery and works cooperatively with the entire production
team.
Cleanliness: Maintains a professional, clean, and food-safe work environment throughout the shift.
Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned production and completes responsibilities without requiring
constant supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple production tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive production tasks.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around hot ovens, mixers, proofers, refrigeration, and other commercial bakery equipment.
SCHEDULE
This is an AM production position. Start times will be based on production and business needs. Early-
morning availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.
