About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at a multi-billion dollar, manufacturing organization located near Roselle, IL. This company is one of the largest businesses in North America in their niche market and is growing through acquisitions. They're now looking to bring on a Director of FP&A to their NAM HQ.
In this role, you'll report directly to the VP of Finance with a dotted line to the CFO and take ownership of key FP&A functions. You'll have full ownership over the business' financials including, M&A, financial planning and analysis, CAPEX Investment, Board Reporting, and much more.
Job Description
- Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range strategic planning processes.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate budgeting activities across departments and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports for executive leadership.
- Analyze key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and management reporting tools to enhance visibility into business performance.
- Conduct profitability, margin, pricing, and ROI analyses to support decision-making.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and recommendations for strategic and operational initiatives.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product, HR, and other functions to support business planning and performance management.
- Support strategic decisions including investments, capital allocation, resource planning, and growth initiatives.
- Lead financial evaluations of new business opportunities, acquisitions, capital investments, and strategic projects.
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including financial due diligence and integration planning when applicable.

To be considered for this Director of FP&A position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of experience in Finance
- Manufacturing or related industry experience preferred
- Mid to Large Company Experience
- Management Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Knowledge of GAAP
